2️⃣ Test yourself:

  • Look at the question or prompt on each card and try to remember the answer before flipping it over.
  • Check the answer and make a note of any cards you find challenging and need to go over more.

3️⃣ Consistently Review and Practice:

  • Use spaced repetition: spend more time on the cards you struggle with and go over them more often.
  • Regularly review all the flashcards to help you better understand and retain the information over time.

What is the role of sense organs?

Sense organs detect external stimuli such as sound, smell or light using unique receptors.

What is binocular vision and what is its advantage?

Binocular vision is having both eyes on the front of the face, allowing humans to perceive depth and the relationship between objects.

What is the function of the cornea in the eye?

The cornea is the transparent layer at the front of the eye that allows light into the eye and is responsible for the initial focusing.

How do ciliary muscles contribute to vision?

Ciliary muscles change the shape of the lens by relaxing and contracting, which is required for additional focusing.

What is the function of rods in the retina?

Rods work best in low-intensity light and detect differences in light intensity, but not colour (black and white vision). They are found all over the retina.

How do cones function and where are they mostly located?
