Parallel lines

Parallel lines are lines which tend to be the same distance apart but never cross each other.

There are 3 main angles in parallel lines: ‘Z’ ‘F’ and ‘C’.

The ‘Z’ angles are equal

The ‘F’ angles are equal

The ‘C’ angles add up to 180°

Parallel lines tend to be marked with arrows. The line which passes through a pair of parallel lines is called a transversal.
