ShapeNameNumber of sidesSum of interior angles
ATriangle3(1\times 80)=180°
BQuadrilateral4(2\times 80)=360°
CPentagon5(3\times 80)=540°
DHexagon6(4\times 80)=720°

Important things to note:

  • The sum of the exterior angles of a polygon add up to 360°. To find the angle of an exterior angle, you want to extend a side with a straight line:
  • The interior angles differ depending on the polygon. However, the sum of the interior and exterior angle = 180°

Interior angle + Exterior angle = 180°
